About Us The Moosup Pond Association was formed in late 2007 and incorporated as a non- stock corporation in 2008. Currently, we have about 60 members. Interest grew out of concern of residents and a meeting was held, bi- laws adopted and officers elected. To see a copy of our bi-laws and a list of Officers, click on "Bi-Laws". As you can see from our bi-laws, our mission is to "protect Moosup Pond and it's environs". We are a political action committee. We are not elected officials, we do not make any laws or regulations and we have no enforcement authority. We work closely with the town of Plainfield to accomplish our mission. Moosup Pond is a source of enjoyment for lots of people. It is a jewel for the town. We want to protect it for generations to come. We ask that you help us by JOINING the association or by visiting the web site and learning what you can do to keep Moosup Pond clean and healthy. The Association has made great strides in just over a year. We are on our way. We have lots of enthusiastic members who want to get things done. The Association welcomes you to JOIN US. You will have the satisfaction of being a part of something great and to meet and work with lots of wonderful people. We take a pro-active approach and try to make the Pond better than we found it.
